Which Degree is Better (to find a good job) Finance or Economics? |
Which Degree is Better (to find a good job) Finance or Economics? Both are great undergraduate degrees. An Econ or Finance degree sends a signal to potential employers that you're a smart cookie (assuming you can get super grades). Don't bother with Econ if it's not part of your school's College of Business. Sometimes, Econ is lumped in with Humanities or Liberal Arts, which is too bad. If you're thinking about grad school, Finance will require a few years of real-world experience prior to admission. Econ doesn't really deal with the real world (I kid! Kind of.), so you can go straight to PhD from BS. In fact, I'm working on an Econ PhD right now. I know a lot of people across the courtyard in the Finance department. They're more fun than my classmates, but our job prospects look just as rosy. Finance Both degree get you in different field and job profile but as per my observance career in finance will get you better salary You may also look out for an option to work online to make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit http://ommc.blogspot.com I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.) There are so many people with a finance degree who are not getting hired from my college...however...not many people have an economics degree....what you should really do is take a look at the career in which you like to go into on the Ocupational Outlook Handbook site...and then see what you'd need to take to be successful in that career...it's a really helpful reference! http://www.bls.gov/oco/home.htm... Finance. Better yet some sort of "Business Management" type of programs. |
