What jobs are there for global business majors? |
I know there are many jobs out there for global business major but sometimes I just think it is a waste of my time and energy to even go to my university. It's a long story.. however is it worth it? By the way I know all the stats and facts about why going to college and all that. But the thing is that I always think it doesnt guarantee you to get a job, I discovered it is more important to have experience in the field, I mean just think about it, almost any companies want to hire those people who have at least some experience to the positions which they apply. And maybe if you would get hired, how much chance is that? You dont understand how often that I really just want to quit school, but I have no choice now, I'm stuck, because I have already completed my first two years. Okay, I know I said much, but any suggestions on how this major field would lead me to those good jobs? By the way also tell me what is the best concentration, currently mine is in finance. Thank you for ur time. Many positions in larger corporations require a degree just to get in the door. Even though you think it is a waste of time, it will provide you with many more opportunities than if you don't get your degree. With a global business degree and an emphasis in finance, you have a lot of areas available to look at. For instance, you could be a project manager for an international corporation, or you could review the financial aspects of an international corporate merger. You can always talk to someone in your school's career center (placement office). The site below, while also an educational institution, offers some information that might provide useful. Many corporations may need people with experience in global business. Think outside of the box, the typical job for business majors. You could try to work for a company or corporation that interest you, say sports or electronics. Just think of the opportunities your degree can offer and the doors it can open outside of the typical "business" jobs |
