Can I major in finance and still go on to law school?

Im interested in becoming a lawyer because I really think I would enjoy it because I love debating people and I love proving people to be wrong. So I was wondering if I could major in finance and also go on to law school because if I decide to change my mind about law school I would still like to be able to fall back on a major that can get me a good job.

That's a really good combination. Many wall street top executives have law background. In the field of high finance, legal knowledge is as important as financial analysis.

yes. you can major in anything and then go to law school. I don't think law schools will reject you based on your 4-year major, they just want you to have one, that's all. And they want you to score well on your LSATs.

some law schools give preference to some majors but if your grades are good and especially if you score well on the law school test, you will have a good choice of law schools that will accept you
Absolutely!!! I think that would be great....go for it!!!! The finance major will help you in various fields of law.
You should ask to your school admission point for getting right information you need .We cant know where you are studying and what your school 's rules are
Yes. And it's probably a good idea. I had the same thought. Half way through law school I realized that what I liked most about law was the research and debate. They call those people paralegals. They don't get the big bucks like lawyers do. I also realized that lawyers, like emergency room doctors don't see happy people. They work with people with all maner of problems from personal to criminal. They are always getting people out of trouble, often the same person, the same problem repeatedly. I gave up on it for that reason. I make more money in finance than I would as a paralegal. Not everyone is Erin Brockovich.
Make up your mind. Law or Finance.. You have many options in law besides lawyer... Stop being like every one else who don't really succeed. If you don't want to be a looser make up your mind. Do you have passion for law? or not?
