Does anyone know of a job recruitment agency in Connecticut (hartford/new haven area) for journalism jobs?

I am looking to break into journalism and editing, want to work one-on-one with a recruiter who can help me get my foot in the door, even though i've work predominantly in finance up to this point.

I don't know of anything specific to the area and to journalism.

If you haven't already, you might check journalismjobs.com or the big sites like monster.com and careerbuilder.com. Also look in the papers in those areas (the Hartford Courant, the New Haven Register) for job listings.

Don't be afraid to just send your resume in even if they haven't advertised an opening. Write a cover letter explaining what you're interested in and follow up with a phone call after a week or so.
