Do you believe the federal government does its job, or should we have independant states/cities?

United we stand. The Federal govt has certain powers & obligations. States have their powers & obligations. I just wish they would keep those things straight.

Yes it does. We had independent states before, under the article of confederation, and it wasn't that effective, we used different currency, the taxes was mad difficult with the commerce.
