Talk about egregious miscarriage of U.S. justice!!
When Border Patrol Agent Ignacio Ramos pulled the trigger last February, all he knew was that his partner was lying on the ground behind him 鈥?bloodied from a struggle with a fleeing suspect 鈥?shots had been fired and now, it appeared, the drug smuggler he was pursuing had turned toward him with what looked to be a gun in his hand.

That's the way the legal system works.

You're quoting a news report which is quoting a press release. Read the 20+ cartons of documents that they're going to draw the evidence from, hear every eye witness, sit on the jury -- then you'll be in a position to tell if this is justice or a travesty.

The idea that people want to put political pressure on courts to ignore the legal system is completely at odds with the entire concept of justice. The jury determines guilt or innocence, not the mass media.

That's the way the legal system works.
