Why are social workers such ignorant, apathetic, statist morons?

I know there a good, honest ones out there who really want to better others lives but the ones I have come across seem to bask in their own ignorance of state and federal laws and their decision making process seems to run solely on their own opinions, which are often based on their own screwed up lives. I am utterly convinced that the majority of them have serious pyschological issues. I wants honest answers and I fully expect some SS types to attack the question. Don't give the response that "WE" (the public, your employer) can't judge you and that the "SYSYEM" (unconstitutuional, therefore illegal) needs more money and more people. When something is broken and refuses to fix itself, one doesn't throw more money into the garbage in hopes of it fixing itself. Basically, convince me why any element of social services should exist and why, after so many failures and federal cases against social services for civil rights violations, we, the taxpayers should still fund your jobs?

You know what? Give a low-level Hitler type a badge or official credentials, a little bit of power, and they abuse it.

The government should be broken down and rebuilt from the ground up.

That's your answer.

That is what I call the bottom-up approach. Scrap the old machine and replace it with something better.

Same thing with social workers. The half of them are lazy, coffee-slurping, wasteful morons who hang out with one another and waste taxpayer dollars.

Figure it this way. 1 out of every 4 people in the United States is employed by some state, federal or quasi-governmental agency.

Look to your left and to your right. Chances are a public employee is within wingspan!

Arghhhhhh! Don't even get me started. Practically the whole load ought to get booted!

And heres the worst part. Those who are qualified, who really are doing what they are qualified to do, are the ones that never get promoted and get chased out of the social agencies so some incompetent burger flipper can get the job.

as employee's of the government they can commit any criminal and inhuman act on the job and they are immune to civil litigation. i heard of a case where a social worked purgored herself to put someone in jail and after the matter was clear they couldn't touch her in civil court. however the prosecutor did put her in jail for 5 years for it and other charges.

In my state, the starting salary for a social worker is about 18,000. That gets them a job where they work on average at least 55 hours a week. In most cases, they deal with the absolute dregs of society and see abhorrent abuses of the system on a daily basis. They see people at their worst, and they see situations they can do nothing about that are absolutely horrible, often through no fault of the people who are being harmed, which are usually children. Add to that critical shortages of funds for areas where there is a great need (like child care for people who WANT to work or go to school and get back on their feet.) And yes, many of the people who choose to be social workers are people who themselves had problems when growing up and thus feel a desire to help others, even though they may not really have the skills to do so. The system is broken, yes. But not because we've thrown money at it.
My mother has been a dedicated social worker for the state of Oklahoma for 32 years, two years beyond the time she could have (should have IMO) retired.
