Federal Probation Office Job Interview ??

I just applied for a Federal Probation Office Clerk Position here in my town, hopefully I will get called in for an interview.
What should I prepare myself for going into a federal job interview. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Prep is the same as for any job.

Be prepared to talk about your experience, knowledge and training.

Be prepared to answer questions about ANYTHING on your resume

Be prepared for questions on your feelings about the people you will be working with -- be sure to have a tough line (you know they committed a crime) but be soft too (People make mistakes, they did their time and now they just need to get reintegrated)

Good Luck.

A job interview is usually the same all over. They have standard questions - why do you want to work here, where do you see yourself if 5 years - etc. There may be some questions geared towards probation and/or a federal job like "Why do you want to work for the government rather than a private employer?" - you want to make a difference and working for the government is how you can do it (or something like that) and/or something about the salary (that it's less than a private employer).
