What concerning your background would prevent you from getting a Federal job?

What concerning your background would prevent you from getting a Federal job?

criminal past, drug use, bad credit, having realitives that have ties to bad stuff... I could keep on going... ask whomever is hiring you ...

Felony

Criminal record, drug use history, mental health history, dishonorable discharge from the service, being in arrears in child support, and not paying back Federal Student Loans.

Not having an education/quitting school.

That about covers it.

There are many federal jobs. Which one are you considering?

FBI, CIA, those kinds of jobs....almost anything negative in your past will keep you from being employed.

Post office...Take the test and wait forever to be called in for an interview.

Felony conviction will always keep you from getting almost any kind of job. Certain misdemeanors will also rule you out. Bad credit check will prohibit you from employemnt requiring you to handle money, even a cash register job.

any trouble a person has had with the police and the system would hold a person back from a federal job for sure. If you didn't pay your student loans or pay them yet, that may be a problem. They can pull all sorts of data on you from the internet, from your emails, pictures/porn, etc. on you plus they will talk with your neighbors, your church, your educators, etc. and will ask you for fingerprints, they will check your criminal record throughout the US.
