How do you get a job as a federal agent?

like the FBI, CIA, or NSA. not the desk job, but the field jobs, like in the show criminal minds.

IF its age appropriate ... you go down to your nearest US Air Force Recruiter and say: "I want to join, and here's what I want out of it."

Good Luck

Instead of asking this here, you might want to go on the websites for these different agencies and find out their qualifications. You might also want to research what these agencies actually do; it seems to me that you just want a "glamorous" job and don't really know what the FBI, CIA, and NSA are.

I think you have to apply.

Go to college and get a degree in Criminal Justice! At least a four year degree. Make sure you're in great physical shape. Than apply for what ever you want. Good luck!

first of all you need a collegs degree then go to their sites or call the local office they will direct you where to go

Well, a four-year degree is pretty much required -- psychology is always a good one, as is finance/accounting for FBI jobs.

There are scores of other agencies that have federal agents. Either way you need to read some books, check some websites, etc. Those who are agents are a very, very small slice of the total workforce in each agency and getting in is competetive.

You first are going to need the right degree. Some start at the desk job. Some up the odds by doing a stint in the military as well. Research and more research.
