Yes, I support federal tax money being used to fund stem cell research. If something can potentially save the lives of children, I support it fully.

NO, I'm sick & tired of my tax $$ being wasted. I'm over taxed as it is.

It could lower health care costs in the future AND I would rather they use money for something worthwhile, rather than using it to blow people into shreds in some foreign war etc., etc.

I'm an engineer, and I have a better idea. the US collects
1,096.4 billion in income tax dollars that are "non mandatory" for 2007. (see table S-8)

10% of that is 109.64 billion. 90% is 900 billion something. Let congress allocate the 900 billion on what it deems essential. Let the other 10% be allocated by the taxpayers themselves.

Some people will chose embroyonic stem cell research. Other will chose adult stem cell research. Others, like me, would rather see their money go into alternative energy research. Stem cell research will save a few people, but without alternative energy, they're all doomed anyway.

1) YES!!!!!!

I'm a scientist.
