What military branch has the best training and most job opportunities after service and least chance of combat |
I want great training like the Marines have to offer and also would like to have the most job opportunities after service like law enforcement and federal job etc. My parents are against me being in combat or life threatening situations. I am very smart and can do many more technical jobs. If I join the marines is it likely to avoid combat? Or am I better off with Navy or Air Force It sounds like you are better suited to be a civilian. don't join the military if you don't want combat. also don't let your parents run your life do what you want. The Air Force is the only branch with its own community college; I got two associate degrees from them during my service. They can keep a ship at sea indefinitely, but planes only stay in the air so long. If you want to avoid combat or "dangerous situations" then do not join the military at all. AIR FORCE. BUT DO MY A BIG FAVOR. IF SOMEBODY COMES UP TO YOU AND SAYS "THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO FOR OUR COUNTRY" YOU REPLAY. "DONT THANK ME IM A PAPER PUSHER. THANK ALL THE PILOTS, GROUND CREW THAT CONSTANTLY DEAL WITH INCOMING ROCKETS...ETC, A.F. SECURITY FORCES, PARARESCUE JUMPERS, MARINE CORPS, SF COMMUNITY AND ALL THOSE OTHER PEOPLE" AND DONT GO TELLING UR BUDDIES WAR STORIES OR HOW MUCH OF A BAD *** U ARE. OK? THANKS BUD Unfortunately, with the way we are at war, there is no "safe" branch to enlist in any more. Even Navy members are seeing combat. The Marines don't want you if you are not willing to fight You can learn good jobs in any of the branches. As far as being in dangerous situations it is going to happen. Girl Scouts. US Army on the first two options, but NONE on the last option. You will NOT avoid combat if you Make no mistake son, EVERY MAN AND WOMAN who is in the military has sworn an oath to die for their country if it should come to that. We or any other country's armed forces dont want you This is just my opinion, but based on your statements. Depends on your job or mos while in all Marines are not in comabt when deployed the grunts are but not other mos's and all branches are deployed too. but infantry mostly Marines and Army You don't join the military to avoid combat. It's your decision and no one else's. Is it because you are afraid of dying? Join the Air Force. If you join the Marines.... no matter if you are in aviation or ground forces.... you have a good chance of going into combat. The Navy floats around hot areas and can get blasted as seen with the USS Cole. The Army, like the Marines, has a small air wing for support of the ground troops...again good chance of combat. Currently, the Air Force really isn't doing much other than transportation of troops to hot areas. If I am incorrect and the Air Force is in hot areas.... I apologize to them. That's a great wind up and has certainly done the job reading all these posts here. |
