Ok see what I don't understand is how we are told to expand our minds.?

Yet we are given barriers to what is allowed we could speak. I believe yes that if you're working to talk your language at the right times. But don't insult me by saying something slick. I oppose anyone that dare say I don't have my right to speak my language. I know many americans that don't even know there native tongue whatever it may be. They never picked it up and well that is shameful but I'll tell this federal jobs also require or prefer you know one or two extra languages. So waht do you guys think? BTW it's the immigrants that made america what it is....need not forget that's it was made. What is your thoughts on this?

I think you need to just suck it up and learn the native language of whatever country you emigrate to. In America, the native language is commonly referred to as "English".

I'm an American, English is my native tongue. My ancestors that came from other countries could speak their native language but they also learned English when they moved here so they could converse with other Americans.

Of course everyone has the right to speak whatever language they want to but if you want to be understood you might want to speak a language that others around you can understand. Don't expect me to learn another language so I can understand you.
