Is the United States Government Compliant with its Own Policies?

I find that the US Government does not practice what it preaches for example why is there an age discrimination law that does not apply to the military or the FAA or any other federal job? Another instance is found in the bill of rights I believe that no person can be jailed for owing a debt, so why are so many people jailed for child support and IRS debt? Please elaborate.

In many cases -- no. But the cases you cite are often yes.

For example -- people don't get jailed for failing to pay child support or taxes because they are in debt -- they get jailed because they violate the federal laws that require them to file or to notify the govt.

If you cannot pay your taxes because you are broke -- you get a deferment and the tax debt is postponed until you can pay.

And child support is based on your income -- if you don't have any income (for a valid reason), then you don't pay child support -- and if you don't have any money, then you inform the court and the debt gets postponed or negated.

As for the age discrimination -- discrimination is valid where the person is physically unfit for the task -- and that includes many FAA jobs and many military jobs.

Also, yes, there are statutory exemptions so that some laws do not apply to federal agencies, but do apply to other businesses -- but those are part of the laws -- so the govt isn't breaking anything by not following those.
