How can we get our senators / representatives to do their jobs?

It's really starting to bother me that I keep hearing that our representatives to Washington keep putting forward these bills to: cut off funding for our troops, bring out troops home, etc. when they know that it's a waste of time & that the bills aren't going to pass.

While they keep wasting time & trying to look good to the media, our federal highways are falling apart, important bills like the Water Resources Development Act isn't getting voted on [we haven't had one passed in 5 years!], education bills are stuck in conference, and so much more.

It seems to me that even though people like Nancy Pelosi & her compadre in California [I forget her name], & those trying to become the democratic or republican nominee for president are trying to get their pictures in the paper & on tv, that they are letting their voters down.

What can we do to get these people who are supposed to represent us to represent us? We need roads now! We need WRDA now! Stop the grandstanding!

You could contact your congreesman/women and tell them this.

Start a petion on the issues mentioned, forward them to your reps. If you feel you have enough people that share your views run for office.

First you should contact your Rep and Senators. Start a grass roots campaign to get others to do the same. Do not worry about the party you belong to vote the guys out of office. To do this is going to take the grass roots campaign I mentioned. Run for office. Appear on as many news shows as you can. Speak to the opposite party then the incumbent is in for funding and how to start up a campaign.
A good place to look for support in the beginning is college campuses.

Fire them elect all new members , forget the party line get rid of the old over the hill bast--D's
