Responded to an ad in the newspaper. I got lucky. Newspaper ads are not the easiest way to obtain a good job.

yep responded to an ad in the newspaper, had an interview and got it

Submitted resume, application. 3 months later was called, and after 4 intense rounds of interviews, I was offered the job.

They called me and asked me to talk with them about the position. Someone i know suggested that they talk to me. I have a good reputation in my field.

Found it in the newspaper, I now work for that newspaper. They were hiring, thought I'd apply, thought I wouldn't get it, I got it.

online i applied for the fun of it not thinking they would call me, they called me 2 days later! i was hired the same week.
