areas of specialization of biomed engineering the job prospects of biomed engneering Here is what UC Berkeley considers the areas of specialization: http://bioeng.berkeley.edu/curriculum.ph... From what i can tell, BioE allows you to do many jobs. You could take the med school route and become a doctor, you could go to grad school and become a teacher, you could become a lab assistant, you could go into research.
