What is a engineering analyst and what do they do? |
what are the different types of engineering analyst jobs could i go into with a math degree? Qualtech Systems Inc (QSI) is looking to hire for a Engineering Analyst position 鈥?a position that requires excellent technical background in the area of system diagnosis and prognosis, and project leadership capabilities along with excellent communication, presentation and writing abilities. Job Responsibilities * Participate and lead in the bid development process, including writing proposals, planning and architecting solutions and writing reports. * Work with the customers and project team members through development, testing and delivery of the product or service. * Interface with customers and present QSI capabilities and solutions as needed. * Develop algorithms, formulate problem, analyze and design the solution. * Contribute to the architecture, specifications and development of QSI products. Qualifications * Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven track record in a consulting or similar environment with a heavy emphasis on providing innovative solutions to address customer challenges on time, within budgets and at the expected quality. * At least a Masters in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science. * Background in one or more of the following areas: equipment testing and diagnostics, failure of mechanical, structural or electrical systems, probabilistic risk assessment methods (reliability, failure effects analysis, fault-tree analysis, etc.), signal processing (detection and estimation), pattern recognition and machine learning. * Demonstrable experience in writing proposals and executing projects which include problem formulation & analysis, solution design, algorithm development. * Software programming with C/C++ or Java and/or experience with MATLAB and LabVIEW. * Excellent communication skills including interfacing with customers, generating and delivering presentations, and writing proposals. * Knowledge of Software Engineering Practices including CMM and ISO 9001 principles is desirable. * Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions is a plus Source(s): http://www.teamqsi.com/engineering_analy...
