Does any Software Engineers in their jobs use Modeling at all? |
The last two jobs I've haven't seen even one document with any type of SEP. Any tips on what to do or don't worry about it? If your company has no official process, you could make a name for yourself if you want to introduce process and modeling. If you want to do this, be prepared for much "heat" from all directions. You will want as many of your co-workers to support you as possible. When you present the idea to management, you must "beat them with the money stick" til you have their attention. By this I mean, you put the process/modeling in terms of the hours and money that will SAVED over and above the overhead of process and modeling. Good Luck Official answer: then those people are skipping a very important step. Unofficial answer: I don't either...some people think we can keep things straight in our heads. Probably wrong though. I wouldn't fret over it...do what is necessary to get the job done, so if modelling works good for you and your customers, then use it. yes with naked women yes. if not, uhmm...they're good! |
