Hey I'm an Engineering student at Fairfield University and I'm worried that.? |
I'm majored in Electrical Engineering and have completed one year of courses at the university. I'm worried that when I graduate I may have a hard time finding a job. Are there typically a good amount of jobs for Electrical Engineers in the market? Would it be good if i tried to double major in a different form of engineering? I've applied to one place for an internship but got turned down? Is this normal for a college freshman? Thanks. I wouldn't think that the job market would be too bad. You may however want to consider Civil Engineering. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! That's the rod up the wazoo: you have a degree and nobody hires you because don't have experience, but you can't get experience if nobody hires you... It would be better to specialize in a particular field of Electrical Engineering. As for which, turn to your University's career guidance service. On which they could also help you with placement for internship. You could also ask your professors/instructors in your major subjects for help. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! You're probably better off staying in electrical engineering and getting the best grades you possibly can. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! stick it out...there were probably a lot of juniors and seniors that applied for that same internship. World wide the demand for any engineer is high... |
