Can an Indian engineer (with Masters in Engineering) get a job in the US easily? |
Has experience in lecturing in subjects of Electronics. Easy! Us good ole' Americans loooove to stereotype, and we believe that Indians are smart, so you will get a job without effort. See you soon. Depends on if the person is any good in the real world or not. Because we here in America take lightly the need for good fathering, there is a big shortage for Engineers. We can never get our need of engineers because we are robbing our boys of an education by depriving them of fathers. I suggest that he tries to get something going in a private firm for a little bit and teach on the side while he searches for a teaching position. If he can't get an engineering position he could probably get a lab technician position and then move up from there. Get rid of the Hindi, Tamil, Cashmerian or what ever accent he has as soon as he can. Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careerbuilder are some of the largest job boards, where you can apply for jobs and upload your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can also search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to get hired.
