Careers in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry? |
I have been reading around on the web and have found some articles written about how that when majoring in one of these select areas that jobs as a scientist/professor/engineer are slim picking. I've read that it is better to be a business major. The current trend with these majors is that everyone is starting to "come alive" when selecting these majors. My career goal would have been a professor of Mechanical Engineering or of Chemistry. I've always wanted to teach at the College Level and do research. I want to do something related to any science field (I don't discriminate, I enjoy all science). I just don't want to be a High School Teacher. Help! i'm a mechanical engineer and people expect you to know every damn thing. When everything goes right, you don't get the credit but when everything goes wrong you get blamed. But i love it, very challenging but a very involved job. Goodluck |
