What is the job of the styling department and the engineering department at Harley Davidson?

Explain the Styling Department.
Explain the Engineering Department.
This all pertains to Harley Davidson and their V-ROD.

C'mon, now! If ever anything was self explanatory, this is it.
Styling department (run by Wille G., a relative of one of the founders) designs the styling of the bikes.
The engineering department does the R&D (Research and Development), and the "Now that the Styling Department came up with this, how do we make it work?"

Im not a big fan of the vrod but it is a revolution for the motor company for the first time in 40 years both of these departments were allowed to create rather than just copy what had been done for years most particularly engineering just the stories of the development of the exhaust and radiator and frame were riviting its nice to see willy G and the boys breaking new ground for a change hope it leads to a bike i actually like thanks
Contrary to what a lot of people think, Harley-Davidson doesn't have a styling department or an engineering department anymore. Since they haven't changed the style of the bike or it's engineering in 50 years. However H-D employees 8000 people in it's marketing department so that they can sell the "lifestyle".
they are the same thing. if harley had more engineers and less lawyers they could probaly make a decent motorcycle at a decent price. but then what would all the sheep do with their extra money??
Both departments have the same goal. Get you to open your wallet!!!
