Do you think that mechanical engineering will lose its importance??????????

i am asking this on the basis that because of depletion of oil resources and dependance of all automotive industry on electricity in the near future ,mechanical engineering will completely dominated by electronics...do you think that mechanical engineers of future will have difficulty in finding good jobs???

Mechanical engineers are so indispensable in manufacturing, You need them to make electronics, computers, satellites, medical equipment and implants.

In fact they are indispensable
Nope. Never.
Never happen.
No, I don't, not if you really know the field.
Never ever.
The earth is never going to b run on electronics or digitally.I mean as long as we have to live on earth and deal with the materials on earth mechanical engg. will b essential att all.
But good approach of farsightedness.
It is actually getting more and more sophisticated day by day.And its not at all less in any way than IT or ELECTRONICS branch.
But when i was going to choose a branch,i didnt thought like that,as i see it today. So asking our elders and exp. people is always paying

Not at all. Even if cars become electric, who do you think designs the engines, the braking systems, the steering systems, the gears, etc. These are all systems of mechanical engineering.
