What should I do with those employment agencies? |
I am looking for a job and considering to try those employment agencies (kelly services,pro resources,manpower...etc). What do I need to bring with me when I go there? Do I need to call them up first or just walk in? I have M.S. degree and looking for something more than entry level. When I did it (I used Kelly Services), I called to make an appointment. All you need to take with you is your knowledge. If they require more they will tell you. Its best to try to find agencies that do placements specifically within your field. If you are going into Management, one I would recommend would be Lee Hecht Harrrison. I'm new to the area, want a change, even with my Masters degree. So, I'm looking at temp-ing as a way to get to know the area, the culture, and I don't have to commit to an employer. Try it! |

Why wouldn't it be? They'll give you a few tests to determine your ability in those areas then help you find something either temporary or maybe temporary that could lead to full time aft... No worries. Since you were honorably discharged they will grant it. The amount you get paid and the length of time depends on the state that you apply in. If you sold back any leave you will be ... Like the poster above me said, how can they guarantee it? ...Limited work experience and gaps could be an issue if not handled properly, so I think it's wise you are considering a professional service. Yahoo, Monster, and many others provide resume ... You have a good basic understanding of the situation. If your economy is mostly made up of service oriented occupations, you're not actually producing any wealth. That's bad. And the rest... |
