USCIS processing times got a lot current?

I notice why is the processing times for the service center got a lot more advance than before. As an example i thought the processing or waiting time for the backlogged I485 Employment based was 5 years. Now when I looked at the USCIS website this is what it says (for nebraska service center):

I-485 | Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status | Employment-based adjustment applications | December 19, 2006

December 19, 2006 waiting time is not that long! Is this good news misrepresentation or what let me know please? Any insights on this?

The processing times shown are always conservative, they often work faster than shown, you just can't complain until your petition is outside the processing time shown.
They have been pushing work through a lot faster lately, streamlining some of their service so for most simple applications things are getting better.

They say they are more current. Let us know how that goes.

sometimes they can move fast, sometimes not, they processed my work permit and travel docs, also my sisters work permit very slowly... it was outside of the processing time they had (for mine)... but the processing time for my green card was much much quicker.... so hopefully it goes quickly for you.... my permanent residency only took about 9 months from start to finish, which they told me 2 or 3 yrs i beleive, but my work permit took over 3 months when they told me 30 days, i think.... but i have no complaints
