Should The Ian Huntley Prison Guards Be Disciplined?

It seems they may have been negligent as Huntley is supposed to be on suicide watch. The guards have a duty of care under the terms of their employment contract. In this light should there be an internal enquiry by the Prison Service and those found to be remiss in their duties disciplined?

they should be thanked for keeping the monster alive and prolonging his agony. he clearly is struggling with his sentence and suffering. if he kills himself then he gets the easy way out.

yes they should be given a severe rollicking for saving his life. next time he tries they should go for a cup of tea and let him get on with it, if he is struggling to buy his drugs to do it with i will offer to buy them for him.

No they shouldn't, look how crafty Huntley is! didn't he fool lots pretending he was concerned and looking for the girls, he fooled the police and the public so for him it would be easy to fool the Guards.

they knew what he was up to and had him under watch all the time "oh i've taken an overdose, i feel faint" i dont think the MO would give him a full batch of prescribed pills and let him take them without supervision. it was probably a placebo. its a way for him to get sympathy. kudos to the guards, they keep that monster alive. hes got the rest of his natural life to think about what he did. duty of care? what is the prison service a bank now with its own customer charter? i could never be a guard on a nonces wing, because the temptation to give out beatings would be greater than the temptation nonces had to be put in prison in the first place. i seriously wanna kick a pedo to death. but death is too easy for them. i know huntley isnt a pedo as such but hes still a sick and demented sub human. he should be given a cold bath daily and have his head held under water for a minute just to see what it feels like to be a defenceless child. but as i said i could never be a guard on the nonces wing.

Yes he is on sucide watch but not 24 hour watch .....

Prision officers have a duty of care and they do the best they can in every minute of their working day..

They can only do so much and huntley is determined .You can not stop someonewho is determined ..

The officers were not at fault and there will be no enquiry he will be on 24 hour obs ....
