How can i locate sites that give me construction employment opportunity's?

I don't know what you skill is, but I can tell you that I have never heard of construction employers hiring via the Web.

You MIGHT find a job opening on www.craigslist.com, because they get such an odd assortment of things. And the Washington Post classifieds are online, so be sure to look there (www.washingtonpost.com, then click on "classifieds" at the top right side of the page).

But most construction jobs are hired by a recommendation from someone already working at the job site. If you lay brick, for example, and a friend knows his job is hiring, he will recommend you or tell you whom to see about hiring on. Most of the rest of the jobs are also in person, simply by showing up and asking for the site manager when you see a project. If you do this kind of work regularly, you know the turnover tends to be high, so you have to luck out and find that they suddenly need an extra laborer, carpenter, or whatever on the day you show up. Of course, it's different for union projects. In that case, you would have to go through the union, but you probably know that already.

Definitely try to meet someone in the field and get your foot in the door. I know some people who've kept steady employment by joining a union as well. Check the phone book for construction companies. You can also check with your local unemployment office; even if you're employed now, they might be able to direct you towards some opportunities. You might also be able to check with some tech schools in your area that teach construction technology - if they won't assist with leads, try to strike up a conversation with someone who goes to the school and see if you can get them to give you some information about who might be hiring.
