Why there are good employment opprotunites in US ?

Hi why good employment opportunities are there in US and european countries and why not in India and other developing countries?

Because of a concept known as skill matching----the best workers migrate to Europe and the US.

The simple answer....over-qualified and under-paid. That would be India. There are too many people that have college educations (or the equivalent) and there aren't enough jobs to meet demand.

Here in the US there are plenty of jobs that required degrees, but only about 30-40% of the population holds a degree. There are plenty of service (low and extremely low wage) jobs, but one would not make a 'livable' wage.

Also, the US and Europe pour a lot of money back into the economy to push growth. Many other countries are growing on demand, but are investing money in other ways instead of stabilizing their economies.

Developing countries are less industrialized. A greater percentage of their land is used for agriculture, and less for industry. The best jobs are available in industry. There are more people trying to get fewer industrial jobs, and that competition lowers the wages, so the jobs suck.

First of all, "good employment opportunities" is a relative term. For citizens of developing countries, a "good job" could just be one that is better than no job. This is why most developing nations don't complain about the "low wages" multinational corporations pay.

The U.S. has good employment opportunities, in large part, because of the early labor unions. Back then, industry needed labor to manufacture its products. Unions became a vehicle to demand higher wages and better benefits. Eventually, technology became more advanced and industry became more efficient, lessening the need for labor. However, many Americans still demand a good wage and good health benefits before they will accept a job. Granted this is not the case for all Americans, but I think most would consider a "good job" as one that provides a good wage and health and retirement benefits.

These ideas only come as a nation develops. Workers are needed greatly at the beginning of development, because they are cheaper than capital. As a nation develops, innovation spurs efficiency, and industry replaces labor with capital.
