Is Feminism an aberration, like nazism & communism - a blight on our society?

.Do you know of any men who were discriminated against in the areas of Education, Employment, Taxation, Social Security, Social Protection, Health Care, Civil Law, Criminal Law, Matrimonial & Family Law or 'Women-only' syndrome, Media Representation or Representation in Parliament & Government?

I know of none no

Equity feminism, no, but gender and difference feminism, yes.

no, it is not.

History will judge it so. Feminism II and III.

Barking Bear's friend had woman boss who treat him like crap and did illegal things.Barking Bear's friend kept paper trail.Barking Bear's friend sue university for sexual discrimination for 100k and win.Discrimination two way street sometimes.

personally, i can't say that i do. do you?

No, it isn't.

Can we anticipate your academic research in the referenced areas, or do you just want to whine?

Funny thing that, the majority of sexual harassment suits were brought by men. Go figure.

I would say yes, feminism is an aberration in that it does deviate from the norm and try to help the world see just how much privilege is given to men (white more so) and yet we have to earn it.

Nazism isn't and shouldn't be an ~ism as it was more a regime than true social change (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazism). The Arian Nation still exists, especially in Utah, though their numbers aren't nearly as strong as they once were. Fascism, unfortunately, abounds also.

Communism is really not that bad an idea when you consider what Karl Marx had to say about it: http://www.historyguide.org/intellect/ma... His idea that capitalism is set up to fail because we have a 3 tiered system that rewards those on top but not those actually working to sustain the organizational structure of the whole work up is interesting and definitely something to pay attention to.

As for feminism being a blight on our society, would Ann Coulter and her ilk be able to spread such hatred in public without it? Feminism, after all, is what got women the right to vote for feminism is the ideal that all *humans* are created equal therefore should be treated as such.

Until feminists put men in concentration camps, no, it is nothing like Nazism. To even compare it to that is extremely disrespectful not only to feminists but to the six million Jews who were shoved into ovens. Shame on you.
And no, I do not know any men who were discriminated against.

There are many, many, many, many, many, many connections between feminism and nazi-ism.

Well, there can be too much of a good thing and even good things can go too far sometimes in their efforts to correct a past injustice.

Feminism was great, but went too far in some areas in their zeal to right old injustices against women. Set asides for women based on sex unfairly discriminated against men who were not part of past wrongs against women. This is called reverse discrimination.

We all know of men who were discriminated against in your model question. Take divorce, for example. Now women can get screwed there too, but I always hear of men getting screwed in divorce.

Men have clubs that say they are men's clubs. Women sue to join. Women have women's clubs. When was the last time you heard of a man filing a law suit to force them to open up their doors to men?
