Question about Canadian Ontario employment insurance....?

I just got back to work from Maternity leave and according to the government website I have to work 700 more hours to qualify for more EI. I get laid off around Sept 1 which means about 160 hours of work, so I don't qualify. I am curious if anyone out there knows about this and if I can get more EI that I have to pay back or can get due to the circumstances? Thanks for help.

sorry Jessy i cannot help you on this one,my brothers in law all live in Canada and we do not speak to them as the family is scattered everywhere,i really wish i knew.Someone will know..just wait a few hours.

sorry..Janine.
