Employment Group Insurances still billing me.? |
I resigned from my job, however, the company group life and dissability insurance billed me for months after I had resigned. I never requested the policy to continue. Is this legal? If you're in doubt, you probably has the right to be in doubt. Collect all your records straight - and tell them and ask them what are they doing? Sometimes, they might change clerk over at the insurance company who'se billing you, who know, and sometimes, they do not really know what they are doing, so call them and don't panic. Maybe this is just from incompetence. Your plan was most likely "portable" which means you can continue it after your employment ends. If you don't want to continue the coverage, don't pay the bill. |
