British citizen visiting Canada- what medical insurance do I need? |
I am visiting Vancouver for 6 months (minimum, hoping to find employment). What type of medical insurance is best? Anyone know of any reputible companies? Advice?! Go to a SunLife office. They sell insurance to foreigners. I live in Ontario and I pay for a health plan that is identical to the provincial one here (OHIP). You could also try Manulife or TD. I have life and accident insurance from TD but not really sure if the offer health plans. Six months should be less than $1000.
