My employer isnt giving me my wage which i signed my contract of employment for what should i do? |
Hello, I started a college course in january and signed up for a course which stated they would pay me 拢50 a week for attending the course, I thought great! 拢50 is a good amount, further on i then got told the course money had dropped after i signed my contract of employment stating i would be payed 拢50 i am only getting 拢30 now, I am thinking of seeking Legal Advice and just need a few answers to help me make my mind up. Quit. That's a serious violation of trust between an employer and employee. If you can't trust 'em to pay you what they offered, then there's no point staying. Probably cost you more to sue than what you would get out of the suit. Also, might affect your grade. The thing is...u do have a few options. You can sue for breach of contract. But, it could also backfire and it may cost more than it's worth. Or u can quit, plain and simple. You have some legal recourse if you truly want the extra 20 quid. But, more importantly, is your employment worth suing for, because they will find a legal way to get rid of you. On the other hand, in a middle of the road alternative, you should ask the powers to be why they aren't coming through as promised and that you think they should. Another more severe compromise would be to enlist the trade union's help if you belong. Regardless of the outcome, though, I would finish the course and start looking for a more reputable firm. international law?? in the usa just sue them in court for breech of contract if it is in writing you can not lose.. |
