How long do employers have to keep employment applications on file in alabama? |
I found a site telling me that apps should be kept 1 year. Then it is 6 years (after employee leaves) if they are hired and put in the employee's file. Most places discard unhired applications after a year as not "fresh"; hired ap's stay with employee records, usually untill 7 years after they leave. I don't think they're required to keep them on file at all. They can just throw them in the trash if they like. |
