Does conversation in email/msn/skype considered as legal agreement in employment?

does conversation in email/msn/skype considered as legal agreement between an employer to employee? Eg: employer promise to pay comisen to employee (in email/msn/or other electronic messenger) but comisen was not stated in the confirmation letter / appointment letter.

conversation dont get printed and signed, contracts do......

Technically, it's not a legally binding contract. If you went to court and showed the email/msn/skype to them, it wouldn't hold up. You need a legal document tender to be signed in order for it to be iron clad. Sorry.

If its not in a signed contract its not binding.

Conversations mean nothing especially when a formal letter is introduced and signed by both parties. This is lesson number one in why you always read every word of an employment contract (or any contract).

There are times when conversations can be construed as a legal and binding contract. But this is NOT one of them as you have a typed and signed formal employment contract.

What the contract says is binding and it will supersede any conversations.
