In the state of Missouri does the employer have the right to with hold earned income (final pay check and vacation owed) if you do not sign a Separation of Employment Agreement. I was not fired I quit. The agreement did not come up until a week after my last day of employment. And I was told If I did not sign it I would not get my final pay. NO! You earned that money and they have no right to it. This is just my opinion, I live in Pennsylvania. But it seems to me the answer is no. That's your pay and you should get that check. The vacation pay is another matter. Contact an attorney, ask them what they think. |
