i've always took any job going and worked my rear off and been proud of it. i was'nt given the option of staying in school and getting qualifications i had to leave school at 16 and start bringing a wage into my family. recently i've fell upon hard times after working for 17 years i was paid off twice in 3 years. i've registered with numerous agencies over the last few months for jobs they say they have on going. i hear dick back from them all. today i got a phonecall from an agency that was accepting on line CV's that i had previously sent my current and very substantial CV to. they offered me a "job" that started monday and needed to know if i could make it there for half seven am monday morning but obviously they needed me to register asap. on short notice i gathered my details and ran to the agency. they asked for references which i gave and i was promised i would be let known within the hour that i could start. guess what? they couldnt get hold of my references. so now |
