How do you deal with recruiters/employment agencies? Any tips, how often to contact them...?

I am having a hard time following up with them to make them know that I really am available for a job. I have good qualifications and I had some interviews. They are hard to know how they think and work with job seekers.

Make sure to be part of the right Staffing Co. Keep in mind that some staffing agencies specialize in blue collar (ie construction) and if you are white collar (ie admin), no matter how qualified you are, they won't be able to place you with any of their clients. Make sure to do some research of the agencies in your area, and apply only on those that offer the type of job that you want to work at. Once a staffin Co has your information.... call them twice a week, just to let them know you are still available. Beleive if a recruiter has something for you they will call you. Don't give up and good luck. Source(s): I'm a recuiter !
