How often is good to "check in" with an employment agency? |
I registerred with an employment agency. When I was calling regularly, they acted like I was being a "pest". Then when I stopped calling, and then called again recently, they said they hadn't heard from me so they assumed I was not available. So, how often is good to call to check in with them and let them know I am available? I have had the same issue. I would check with them once a week. Once a week is enough for them so you don't sound like a pest. But just enough to stay in touch with them. Call in about once a week. Monday is good. If you can't call Mondays, try Wednesdays. Don't let them push you off by acting like you're a pest. The only way they get paid is by finding you a job, so if they want to get paid, they better find you a job! Don't relent until they find you something. I am registered with an employment agency.....Triad Temp. I call her daily, or every other day. They like to know you are interested in getting a job. If I don't call, I email her. They have not made me feel that I am pestering them. If and when they do, I will find someone else to go through. Good luck. Once a week. If you don't call, then they won't know you are available. You probably was calling everyday, but you wasn't suppose to. |
