Are Employment agencies and Immigration causing problems for Young Brits? |
i'm a 30 year old UK factory worker. I have just watched Panaroma on BBC1. I must say I sympathise with young people just out of school. Luckily I am in full-time work now. It must be impossible now to get a job via employment agencies. I spent a year working for these organisations in Corby.(1996) Hell on earth (then!) Combining recent factors such as mass immigration from Eastern Europe it must be really, really hard for young people (without help/qualifications) to get decent jobs. Seems now you get work but not a job leading to anything meaningful. I know of agencies in town who will only employ Eastern Europeans! And house them as well! Which must leave alot of young people in limbo! Labour are just as bad as the Tories, and if anything have made things worse! I heard a fish factory just outside of Edinburgh made all the staff redundant shut the factory down for 3 weeks then reopened with an all European work force. I've noticed shops such as Liddle's and poundstretchers have mostly foreign workers. For the most part young brits can achieve anything they want to achieve, if they don't then that's their own look out. There are a small proportion of young british that will look for excuses anywhere. it's the same in my town, except factories also will only take on foreigners I no understand question What ees brits? brits cutting and running from iraq. progress? No darling you got the last bit really wrong for 2 reasons. First of all labour are not just as bad as the tories. Labour has sent immigration totally spiralling out of control. They have no idea whatsoever who is coming in, how many, and from where. They have lost control of the country. Its VERY hard to get a job in the UK these days, especially if you are young and inexperienced or unskilled! |
