Why do employment agencies want a physical exam? |
What does an employer gain by doing a physical exam prior to employment? Do they base their salary offer based on the premium they have to pay for your poor medical history? Or if you had an abortion and it's a religious based company, will they eliminate you from possible consideration? has to do with the fitness level of the applicant. Has to do with workers comp more than anything else............ They care about their employees and want to know if there are any health issues they need to know about. Rather than trusting employees to record their health, they leave it to a doctor. The information is also helpful for retirement, but they are not legally allowed to discriminate based upon their employees health. Religion also has absoutely nothing to do with it. |
