Employment as a Chaplain?

Does anyone know of an organized resource for finding a job as a Chaplain? Are the employment agencies for such? I know someone who is qualified and has a compassionate heart and spirit looking for work as a Chaplain in the Houston Texas area. Any ideas.....?

i dont know if your friend would be interested, but pretty much all Hospice agencies have Chaplains.

Chaplains usually do not get paid. They are usually from a church and are used as/when needed. To be a chaplain some kind of divinity training is necessary. Also a chaplain certificate through a hospital, military training center or crisis volunteer training school are places to get your certificate. Fire chaplains like the 9/11 one that died in the collapse of the buildings in New York was a priest working for a parish and called into action when needed. The quickest place in the Houston area to become a chaplain is the military. They need chaplains for the soldiers coming back into the hospitals in Germany. So contact them for employment.
