The Truth about Employment Agenices?

Do Employment or job Agencies work? My experience with these so called agencies has been absolutely negative. I have gone to many a job placement agencies and they all have worked 0 % to find me a job. Here's the run down on these establishments: First, they tell you to come in and take an assessment test to see what your skills are. So you go and take the test which will last about an hour & half to 2 hours depending how quick you are. Second, you'll then meet with a staff member who will ask you about what your looking for and what you will accept. Then they'll ask you about your job history. Then they'll say something to fact that they have a company that's looking for someone with your qualifications and that they'll be in touch. Most of the times you'll never hear from them again. So why r they around? Now, it's not to say all employment agencies are like this. You may find a few that will actually do the footwork and genuinely try to get you a job, but the mass majority won't.

some people are just unemployable,I.E. no skills

Employment agencies work more to the benefit of the employer not the unemployed. Head hunter agencies have a better success in placement of skilled and experienced workers, but they are usually already working and another company is trying to steal them away.

I would need more information to do an analysis of your employablity to determine if an agency would work to your benefit at all.

If you have the skills they are looking for to smooze over the client they want to keep..Oh yeah they will find you a position and fast!

If your just looking for a job, and they dont need you , you tend to get put on the back burner

I have almost always went with temp agencies simply becasue they get you into to huge companies where my resume wouldnt have

The best companies are Kelly, Manpower and Express personnell
They have great companies to work for

I'm working thru a comapnaie now and make 26,000 a year
not a whole lot but enought to pay the rent
and its a great companie they have me hooked up with
