What kind of computer tests do they give you at temp. employment agencies? |
i guess they make you take word and excel tests? is there anywhere to practice certain/the basics online. i just moved to a new state and having a tough time finding work...I just want to do my best. if you have time, go to a book store, and read read read!!! if you can afford it, there are a ton of books you can buy (try MS Word for Dummies or MS Excel for Dummies) I hate the names, but the books are GREAT!!! really help full, i just bought one for my QuickBooks program, anyways, if you cant afford to buy them, try your local library, take them home and practice before your test. The test are not hard, really just the basics. if you have word or excel on your home computer, just play around on that, that will help. you will also be tested on filing (alpha and numeric), typing and basic office skills.... good luck. It is pretty certain that you will take a test on basic software such as Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel, as well as office subjects such as typing and filing. Then, you would probably take tests that were career-related. For example, if you were applying for an accounting position, then you would take tests on income statements, cost of good solds, direct costing, balance sheet, inventory, and so on. |
