How would you feel if you won an Employee of the Month Award in your workplace and were rewarded with cheap? |
gift? I feel that the designation should be the main reward, and a truly good employee should not expect any additional "swag" to go with it. we don't have employee of the month but have end of year awards hoping to get one this year its day off with pay and 500 dollars and a cheap plaque I would feel like the gift was the cost of how well i did my work and if it was cheap i think my self-esteem would be lowered a bit. I think a "raise" would be more meaningful, a friend of mine works for a company that hands out photocopied certificates and occasionally some cheap trinkets. why bother. Hmm..I got $1000 it made me pretty happy. I think they're a great way to reduce employee morale! Dear FedUP and Reserved: Who cares! The point is that YOU WON Employee of the Month Award, be glad that your boss notices your good work & gave you a pat on the back for it. The fact that you are awarded with this & it will go in your Employee File is more important than a "cheap gift". Any gift is better than no gift. You want something better....go to the mall after work & treat yourself to whatever you can afford. They are a good way to motivate workers. Recognition is a good thing. It should not be about the award, or gift. I'd fell slightly embarrassed to be so honoured with such an Award old girl what what. I think they are created to cause hate and discontent among employees. Upper management love it. out with the cheap gift award, in with the cash bonus award. actually, awards suck cause everybody else hates you. Any perk is good, but if the award offends you, you ought to switch to working for another firm. Then you might get valued. This happened to me, my response was laughter. I feel this kind of award is a way for employers to appear to be appreciative. Most of my workmates treat the "Employee of the Month Award" as a joke. The recognition of my contribution would be reward enough. I could care less about the gifts. The fact that a gift was even thought of is a nice sentiment. A person who seeks accolades and an accumulation of material things is an unhappy and very unsatified person. how about when you win a weekly company contest and are the only one who doesnt get the cheap prize. "I would not care about a gift, but the fact that the company recognized me for doing a good job for them would be gift enough"!:) |

I never saw the movie, and I couldn't find any pix of them on IMDB.com, nor any of the other movie sites I checked. ...lol! :) You should see them fight over the parking space they get if they get this honor... ...Find a new job, with a boss like that, he might accuse you of something more severe in the future. ...i always just talk to the person taking the picture... then i am not concentrating on whether or not i look like a dork and i usually end up looking more natural in the photo. ...... Blades of Glory. No contest ...I haven't played the game but I want to buy it.Is it nice? Can you send me some screenshots? Please?lol lol lol ... |
