Are Gt. Britain and Russia on a collision course. ?

Russia has been sabre rattling for many months now with flights over the North Sea by Russian atomic bombers flying close to British air space resulting in RAF fighters being scrambled to turn them back. Now the Russian secret police harrasing British Council employees, some of who were Russi and and demanding the British Council closes its offices in St. Perersburg and Yekaterinburg,, which the British have now reluctantly done.Britain and Russia have only a small amount of trade so would it be a good idea to suspend this and break off diplomatic relations until ex KGB Plutin and his government come to their senses and before one of their bombers is shot down by the RAF

Abenezer S Its not Britain sending bombers near their border. They, the Russians are playing a very dangerous game here and they know it, as they instruct their bombers to turn back when challenged.

I highly doubt it. The British public opinion was very strong against them fighting in Iraq; I doubt they'd want to even think about trying to tangle with Russia.
