I need to know how to get a jerk boss to pay me money from months ago.? |
I worked in a Real Estate Advertising Company that was very cut throat. I got paid per day for my first 30 days as a trial run to see if it was a good fit for both parties. (After 30 was straight commission.) I left a few days before my first 30 were up. I've been by there since then and filled out a pay request. The jerk boss has to sign those for employees to get paid. I left a note detailing the days I worked and that I was still w/in my 30. I've never gotten paid for them. What do I do? Go by there or send a letter? Contact a Government Office? Contact a government agency. If you are in the US, look up the phone number of your state labor department and ask their advice. Contact the Better Business Bureau about this (www.BBB.org). They deal with this specific type of situation. Good luck! Small claims. Check to see what the dollar limit is in your jurisdiction. |
