I need to know who to talk to about an employee handbook and being legite.?

my boss just now gives out a handbook after being open for over 2 years at this location. the book specifies all employees but was only given to the women on my floor. no one else has recieved this. ther is so much BS in it. i would like to know who can look at this and tell me if its right with out costing money. im not signing it!!! thanks!

If you are questioning some of the companies rules or policies that are in it, or if there is something in their that singles our a specific gender, then you would need to go to you local goverments labor authority. In the United States it would be your local Labor Board... they are the goverment agency that handles employment discrimintation or un ethical employment practices. It does not cost anything to speak with them. If you issue is a legal matter with the handbook, chances are you can find an attorney that will give a free consoltation, try calling around to any attorney that advertises the handle labor issues and seeif they could give a free consultation. usually it is done over the phone. Dunno where u live so can't really give u list of avenues which offer free legal advice, for eg. m in London, UK so I wud either get in touch with Citizens Advice Bureau or wud make use of free legal advice line available to me coz of certain bank account with Barclays.

But if I were u I wud speak 2 the said Boss, or some1 at the Human Resources.

Hand book will have to be handed out to each employee.

I have known companies to have sign at beginning of hiring,
yearly, & every three years.

If it's an employee handbook then not only do all employee's have the right to look at it, the employer is REQUIRED to give a copy to ALL employee's.

The company also has a right to establish a handbook at anytime. This happens all the time as companies get bigger. They also have the right to require you sign it. If you don't want to sign you don't have to. But, don't expect to work there much longer if you don't.
