Employee Handbook? |
If something is NOT listed in your employee handbook as a 'rule' or 'regulation' or 'code' do you have to follow it? employee handbooks generally state companies minimum standards. management MAY HAVE the authority to set higher standards you need to check with the companies human resource department. if you work for a company that does not have an HR dept then speak with the mangers supervisor. there's a catch-22 innthere somewhere. generally goes like "not intended to cover all situations and circumstances" or something similar. handbook is a guideline not a management replacement. |
